Dan Drechsel
Dan Drechsel joined BIP Ventures in 2018. He brings deep experience with growing and operating public, private equity, and venture-funded innovation companies. Dan has held numerous executive-level, sales, marketing, and engineering positions at enterprise software, FinTech, and tech-enabled services enterprises. The roster of companies includes SAP, ADP, and Dun & Bradstreet (US and international).
Dan's largest exit came when, after leading hands-on operations as COO, he was instrumental in helping pivot Security First Network Bank (S1) into a SaaS online banking business. S1 (NASDAQ: SONE sold ACWI 2011) reached $225MM in revenue and a market capitalization of $9 billion. He also successfully exited Global Energy Decisions to Vista Equity.
Dan earned an MBA from Mercer University and holds a B.S. in Industrial Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He has served on nonprofit boards at Mercer University and the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) Education Cooperative. In his spare time, he enjoys sailing.
